The Opportunity

We’re building an innovative, AI-enabled revenue cycle management (RCM) platform designed to help health systems and specialty providers overcome one their toughest administrative and financial challenges – out-of-network (OON) bills. Our mission is to simplify traditionally complex and inaccessible processes that sit outside of core RCM today and are often ignored, to unlock efficiency, visibility, and value across the healthcare reimbursement ecosystem.

Today’s healthcare providers are often ignoring underpayment from OON bills given the mounting administrative burdens, opaque payment processes, and delayed reimbursements they face that strain operations and reduce access to care. Our platform leverages artificial intelligence and automation to streamline relevant claim identification, management, and follow-up, which helps providers capture missed revenue opportunities and improve financial performance with minimal workflow disruption. We have several large design partners across health systems and specialty providers who have already committed to partner to build this solution.

Context

25m Health is a healthtech venture studio built in partnership with LifePoint Health, Scion Health, and Apollo Global Management. We build healthcare companies from the ground up and invest in early-stage start-ups. Our platform marries an expansive clinical footprint and expertise with builders and operators to partner with aspiring entrepreneurs and startups to accelerate their path to market. 25m Health’s in-house platform team, based in Nashville and New York City, spans engineering (full-stack, security, data science), strategy (fundraising, product, research), design (UI/UX, branding, marketing), and back-office (hiring, legal, accounting, tax).

We are seeking an Entrepreneur-in-Residence to lead the development of this latest incubation in AI-enabled RCM. You will define the early vision, build alongside design partners across health systems and specialty provider groups, and stand up the foundational operations required to bring the platform to market. You’ll work closely with the 25m Health team of experienced operators and executives to design and build an MVP and growth strategy for the business. 25m Health will also provide the foundational capital and continued support to help you execute on that vision as you transition into a C-Suite role in the new business.

Key Responsibilities

We’re looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial leader who thrives in an early-stage, fast-moving environment. You will be accountable for:

• 0–1 Builder: Help define the product vision and stand up the early product roadmap, translating market insight and customer pain points into a compelling initial MVP and growth strategy.
• Business Operations: Stand up the operational infrastructure necessary to support pilots and scale, including workflow design, contracting, compliance, and early customer support functions.
• Technology Enablement: Partner with 25mH engineering and product teams to design and optimize the technology stack, helping make critical build-versus-buy decisions and ensuring alignment with provider workflows.
• Design Partner Collaboration: Engage closely with our early provider and health system design partners to co-develop, test, and refine the platform based on real-world feedback.
• Customer Sourcing & Growth: Identify and onboard initial provider groups that can benefit most from the product, driving early adoption and establishing proof points for scale.
• Market Launch: Lead the end-to-end process for pilot deployment, including execution, feedback loops, and performance tracking against key financial and operational metrics.
• Financial Leadership: Develop and manage financial models for RCM performance, customer economics, and long-term viability; contribute to pricing strategy and growth planning.

Who You Are

• 7+ years of experience in healthcare operations, RCM, or healthtech, ideally with exposure to AI-enabled tools or automation in reimbursement workflows.
• Proven track record as a 0-to-1 builder, comfortable operating in ambiguity and creating structure from scratch.
• Experience working directly with healthcare providers or RCM vendors to design and implement operational tooling.
• Deep understanding of the provider revenue cycle, including claims submission, denials management, and payer-provider interactions.
• Entrepreneurial, analytical, and execution-oriented; equally comfortable diving into product feedback, operational processes, or financial modeling.
• Passionate about improving healthcare through technology and efficiency, with a bias toward action and continuous learning.
• Attention to detail and efficiency-focused — you love the challenge of optimizing broken or inefficient systems.

Compensation

• You will work with us on a full-time basis for a period of 3-6 months before stepping into a leadership role in the NewCo
• 140-170K annual salary, commensurate with experience (may vary based on experience, location, and other factors). This is a contractor position paid on a pro-rated, salaried basis.
