Responsibilities:
Adams Street Partners is seeking an Investor Relations Associate to join our Investor Relations team, based in Singapore or Hong Kong. This individual will work closely with the Investor Relations, Marketing, Product Strategy, and Investment teams and will be responsible for conducting research, managing and analyzing data, and coordinating the execution of appropriate follow-up activities with prospective and existing clients across Asia, who have committed a total of $17 billion.
This position offers broad exposure to the firm’s strategy and investment capabilities. The ideal candidate is interested in building a long-term career in fundraising and client service, supporting the Singapore and Hong Kong Investor Relations teams, with a focus on Southeast Asia and Greater China. The successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, intellectual curiosity, and a strong desire to learn the business.
Specifically, this individual will be involved and responsible for:
- Manage client support activities, including due diligence coordination, onboarding processes, preparation of RFI/RFP responses, investor presentations, reporting materials, modeling support, and ad hoc client requests.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Investor Relations, Marketing, Product Strategy, and Investment teams to develop customized communications, marketing collateral, and targeted client materials.
- Conduct market and prospect research across the region, maintain competitive intelligence systems, and manage tracking databases to identify prospective clients and monitor investment discussions.
- Support the development of compelling and accurate written content that articulates Adams Street Partners’ capabilities, investment processes, and thought leadership.
- Develop and maintain internal processes and procedures to ensure consistency, integrity, timeliness, and quality of communications to prospective and existing clients.
- Lead and execute special projects related to client portfolios and firmwide strategic initiatives.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance marketing efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree required; business or marketing focus preferred.
- Relevant experience within a professional services environment, preferably in investment management, consulting, or investment banking, supporting research, analytics, or data management initiatives.
- Strong project management capabilities with exceptional attention to detail, ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple workstreams, and deliver under deadline pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesize technical and financial information into clear, accurate, and well-structured materials.
- Working knowledge of private markets and the institutional investor and private wealth/banking landscape; demonstrated interest in staying current on industry and investor relations trends.
- High proficiency in CRM and proprietary database systems (ideally Salesforce) and expert command of the MS Office Suite.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to operate independently while exercising sound judgment.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in an Asian language preferred.
