About the Role

Join Alumni Ventures as an Analyst on the portfolio services team (CEO Services), focusing on community building, event execution, and partnership support. This role is ideal for someone who is outgoing, detail-oriented, and energized by building relationships at the intersection of venture capital, startups, and innovation.

As an Analyst, you’ll help grow and support AV’s vibrant network. You will meet founders, investors, and experts in AI & robotics, life sciences, national security, B2B SaaS, and many more. You will gain exposure to the inner workings of venture capital and platform strategy through hands-on work across community engagement, events, partnerships, and communications.

This role is based in New York City and is a paid, temporary or contract opportunity with hours ranging from 20-24 hours/week.

What You'll Do

Event Coordination & Partner Engagement

  • Assist in planning and running high-impact community events.

  • Support event logistics pre- and post-event.

  • Contribute to process improvements.

  • Assist in keeping community directories, resource hubs, and communication channels up to date and active.

  • Participate in partnership logistics and outreach support for external collaborators.

Communications & Marketing Support

  • Draft event invitations, confirmations, and follow-ups.

  • Work with the marketing and social teams to help amplify events and campaigns.

  • Contribute to the creation of collateral and templates that improve event and community communications.

CRM & Analytics

  • Maintain clean, accurate records in HubSpot and other systems.

  • Track event performance data and help generate reports to inform future strategy.

  • Collect data on portfolio companies and community stakeholders.

Office & Vendor Coordination

  • Support day-to-day event and hospitality logistics in AV’s NYC office.

  • Help maintain event and office infrastructure, including organizing supplies and improving storage and setup processes.

  • Work with vendors to ensure smooth execution of events.

Who You Are

  • Undergraduate student or recent graduate with a strong interest in VC, startups, or platform strategy.

  • Excellent communicator with strong writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Creative problem-solver and self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.

  • Comfortable with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Canva, and willing to learn platforms like HubSpot and Lu.ma.

  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds and willing to work the occasional evening for event support.

Hourly Rate: $20-$25
