Amino Capital is a venture firm based in Palo Alto, focusing on seed to growth-stage investments in data-driven technology startups that later became unicorns, such as Grail, Webflow, Weee!, Chime Bank, Rippling, and DFINITY. We are also early backers of next generation blockchain protocols since 2013 and led the seed and A round of String Labs, which incubated one of the most anticipated ICOs in 2018, DFINITY. We participated in the pre-sales and ICO of DFINITY, NuCypher, Kyber, 0x, Grid+, and OmiseGO, which later became known as the first ICO unicorn. The firm was founded in 2012 by a unique team of over 80 technology executives and innovators from Google, Facebook, Yahoo, Tencent, Alibaba, the University of Chicago, Stanford University, Tsinghua University, and et al. Since inception, the firm has invested in over 130 seed stage companies, following with additional investments in Series A and B. Until today, there are 6 full-time partners based in Palo Alto, with an additional 12 team members between Palo Alto and Asia.
