Role Overview

We’re hiring our Talent Acquisition—someone who will build hiring from zero to one. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for a recruiter who thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and takes pride in owning outcomes, not just pipelines. You’ll work directly with founders and early leaders to shape our hiring bar, close exceptional talent, and build the foundations of a scalable recruiting engine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own hiring end-to-end for early, high-impact roles across engineering, product, and business teams
  • Can source and close candidates for hard-to-fill roles; outbound is your default mode
  • Partner closely with founders and hiring managers to define role clarity, tradeoffs, and hiring bar
  • Diagnose funnel gaps (sourcing → interviews → offers) and iterate quickly to improve speed and quality
  • Balance urgency with judgment—making smart tradeoffs under real hiring pressure
  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, pushing back when needed with data and context
  • Create a thoughtful, high-EQ candidate experience while selling the mission, team, and opportunity

Key Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on recruiting experience with clear ownership of roles from kickoff to close
  • Strong sourcing instincts; proven ability to hire without heavy reliance on inbound or agencies
  • Startup or scale-up experience strongly preferred; comfort operating with limited structure
  • Execution-first mindset with the ability to think in funnel metrics and hiring outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; crisp, clear, and persuasive
  • High ownership, reliability, and bias toward action—founder-level accountability
