Role description: This role is with one of our portfolio companies.

We are looking for a Product Leader in Sales & Operations who will be responsible for driving product outcomes across our sales processes and operational infrastructure. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role in a highly execution-focused environment, where product decisions directly impact revenue conversion, throughput, cost efficiency, and the reliability of on-ground operations.

You will operate across multiple PODs and large business units, working closely with PMs, SPMs, engineering, design, and business leaders to frame complex problems, shape scalable solutions, and close cross-functional trade-offs. While the role has significant scope and leverage, it also requires depth - stepping in to help teams think through workflows, system design, and PRDs when ambiguity, scale, or risk is high.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of product outcomes across the sales and operations framework, which includes the entire lead-to-install journey, capacity planning, installation execution, order management, and supply chain operations.
  • Identify and address structural bottlenecks and failure points within complex, interdependent systems by analyzing operational data, ground signals, and relevant business context.
  • Be accountable for end-to-end business outcomes, focusing on throughput, reliability, cost-efficiency, exception handling, and predictability.
  • Establish clear product direction and priorities across multiple PM and SPM areas, with a focus on reliability, scalability, cost, and overall business impact.
  • Collaborate closely with PMs and SPMs to define complex, ambiguous problems, shape solution strategies, and improve the quality of PRDs and solution designs.
  • Drive alignment and manage trade-offs across sales, CX, operations, engineering, and finance, particularly in situations where ownership is unclear or incentives conflict.
  • Balance short-term execution pressures with the need for long-term system robustness, maintainability, scalability, and resilience.
  • Act as a key voice of the customer and advocate for product excellence across the organization

Candidate experience: Desired skills

  • A strong academic background is a plus, but the ability to think strategically and execute effectively is what matters most.
  • Over 10 years of product management experience, with significant exposure to sales systems, operations, supply chain, logistics, field services, or similarly complex domains.
  • Proven ability to exercise system-level judgment in environments that are workflow-heavy and execution-critical, where product decisions can have immediate business and operational consequences.
  • Experience in owning or shaping large, interdependent systems that involve real throughput constraints, potential failure modes, and on-the-ground complexity.
  • Comfortable operating across multiple teams and business units, while maintaining expertise in areas where decisions are irreversible or carry high risks.
  • Strong data fluency applied to operational outcomes, with an understanding of bottlenecks, exceptions, unit economics, and second-order effects.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and influence across various functions.
  • - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment, bringing order to chaos in a way that creates value.
