F-Prime is seeking a part-time MBA Fellow to support the F-Prime Fintech Index, State of Fintech Reports, and Fintech PrimeTime Newsletter. In 2022 we launched the F-Prime Fintech Index to create the first formal tracker of publicly-listed fintech disruptors built over the last couple decades. F-Prime complemented the Fintech Index with supporting analytics, trends, and metrics.

The MBA Fellow will collaborate with and learn from top fintech investors as they manage the F-Prime Fintech Index and expand the public company analysis and metrics tracking. The Fellow will research the performance of the public companies in the Fintech Index, and of private companies on track for a public listing, and develop compelling ways to depict key metrics, benchmarks, and trends to share with the broader community of investors, entrepreneurs, and journalists leveraging the F-Prime Fintech Index.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the F-Prime Fintech Index and recommend quarterly adjustments to its composition
• Conduct quarterly sub-sector analysis for the companies in the Fintech Index
• Conduct research on the public companies in the F-Prime Fintech Index, and on rising private companies, to understand key drivers of performance
• Support the research and drafting of the annual State of Fintech report (October - February)
• Develop compelling ways to depict key metrics, benchmarks and trends driving public fintech company performance. Understand and present the unique drivers by the fintech sub-sector (e.g., payments, banking, insurance, etc.) and among the companies within each sector.
• Leverage F-Prime Fintech Index data to develop interesting and unique insights on the state of the market leading to new research reports, blog posts, quarterly newsletter publication, and social media engagement.
• Work with the investment team to provide fintech research and analysis. If time permits, there will be an opportunity to support due diligence and investment decisions.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a full-time MBA program in the fall of 2025
• 2 years or more experience as an analyst in investment banking or public market research
• Although this is a remote opportunity, we prefer Fellows to be able to join us in our Boston or New York offices
