THE ROLE
We have a unique vantage point at Human Capital - working with founders, investors, and engineers alike. You will collaborate with our portfolio companies to create talent roadmaps, manage candidate pipelines, and source exceptional talent.
This role is for those who rebuke monotony, love working with entrepreneurial talent and get excited pitching the next industry defining opportunity. If you’re inherently drawn to the startup world, intrigued by venture, and a builder at heart—we’d love to talk.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Embed yourself with each engagement, becoming an expert in the company and their industry.
Design and implement a sourcing strategy to identify exceptional talent for the unique needs of each company.
Craft enticing messaging that attracts entrepreneurial talent and appropriately represents the opportunity of each role.
Pitch and set clear expectations for interested candidates, screening for competencies outlined by each portfolio company.
Partner with our Operating Partners, who coach founders on their talent philosophy and systems.
YOUR PAST
We expect you to have done some of these things, but it’s not required that you’ve done all of them
1-5 years of experience working on talent teams.
Have extensive and deep expertise in hiring technical talent for startup environments or pre-IPO venture backed tech companies.
Experience partnering closely with various leaders to build recruiting functions from 0 to 1, and from 1-10.
You’ve built systems and processes that last.
You’ve worked in a startup environment, and were part of teams that experienced rapid growth.
YOUR MINDSET
You love getting in the weeds: Scheduling interviews, building templates, performing market research for sourcing techniques; no job is too small because you know it’s all important.
You think long term: You like to move fast, but you also put care and attention into building things that you know will last.
You’re a mentor at heart: You enjoy coaching and guiding candidates through tough decisions, and are excited to not only advise but truly coach those who interact with our portfolio companies.
You love tech: You’re genuinely passionate and interested in what our portfolio companies are building, and have the technical exposure to really understand what makes a tech startup unique and impressive.
