As an Associate within the Country Risk Middle Office team, you will be responsible for owning and overseeing key control processes to identify and resolve data quality issues within the firm’s Risk data. You will play a critical role in validating the integrity of risk data used by senior management in making informed decisions and managing risks effectively. The team supports collection, aggregation and analysis of data to produce Country Reports.
Job Responsibilities:
Support the collection and aggregation of information related to Country Risk globally, perform variance analysis and provide detailed insights on major exposure and stress variances across financial products

Represent Country Risk Middle Office at the quarterly review meetings with Country Risk Management
Conduct ad-hoc data collection and review of information for countries requiring increased scrutiny
Challenge existing processes to drive process improvement, automation and innovation to enhance data aggregation, reporting and control procedures
Build and maintain effective partnerships with Country Risk Management, Market Risk & Credit Risk Management, various Middle Office teams, Controllers, Finance, Technology and other Risk Reporting teams
Perform data quality checks with a control mindset to proactively identify, resolve issues and influence change to improve reporting processes & controls.
Oversee processes and support the team in operating effectively, efficiently, and on time to meet all service level agreements (SLAs)
Required Qualifications, capabilities and skills:
Minimum 4 years’ experience in Market Risk, Credit Risk, Product Control or Financial Reporting
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, accounting, finance or a business-related field
Knowledge of financial products across a range of asset classes – Credit, Rates, FX, Equities, commodities and others
Strong analytical, organizational skills and keen attention to details
Ability to multitask, work independently and make continuous progress towards meeting business objectives
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize information and present to senior management clearly and confidently
Strong team player who can work well with colleagues of various levels and across regions
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Knowledge of data science (e.g. Machine learning), data analytics platforms (e.g. Alteryx), data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) and programming languages (e.g. Python)
