Job Summary

As an Associate in India Benefits Operations, you will manage day‑to‑day BAU delivery for statutory and non‑statutory benefits and support ESOP administration across APAC. You will oversee vendor service delivery, ensure regulatory compliance and strong controls, support retiral valuation processes and financial reporting, and drive continuous improvement through intelligent automation in partnership with Technology.

Scope:

  • Statutory and non‑statutory benefits administration, including DB/DC retirement plans, statutory insurance, life/medical/accident plans, housing benefits etc.

  • Stock administration support for internal ESOP schemes and related reporting across APAC

Job responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end BAU benefits operations with on‑time, accurate service delivery and strong employee experience

  • Govern vendor performance (SLAs/KPIs), lead operational reviews, and ensure data accuracy and secure data movement for insurance and retirement benefits

  • Support retiral valuation processes and ensure accurate accounting and regulatory reporting; partner with vendors on retiral financials and timely regulatory submissions

  • Investigate and resolve escalations; provide guidance to servicing and vendor teams and drive root‑cause remediation

  • Maintain audit readiness and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and risk frameworks in partnership with the Control Team

  • Build and maintain SOPs and ensure consistent process adherence across teams

  • Identify and execute automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency, controls, and reporting (e.g., UiPath, Alteryx)

  • Prepare and present operational updates, scorecards, and insights to senior management

  • Support business continuity, disaster recovery, and contingency plans are current and tested with Vendors and Risk Management

  • Partner cross‑functionally with India Compensation & Benefits, Global Benefits, Workforce Tech, Regulators, Vendor Partners, Accounting, Controls, and other HRGO teams

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Master’s degree; 8+ years of relevant experience in HR Operations/Benefits

  • Strong working knowledge of employee benefits operations, including insurance benefits and DB/DC schemes

  • Deep understanding of regulatory and financial landscapes impacting HR and employee benefits in India

  • Proficiency with HR systems and technology platforms; strong data governance mindset

  • Proven stakeholder management with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and drive consensus

  • Customer‑service orientation with a track record of building a service‑focused team culture

  • Strong partnership and collaboration skills across functions and with external vendors

  • Analytical problem‑solver with attention to detail; strong project management and prioritization in fast‑paced environments

  • Vendor governance experience, including SLA/KPI tracking and continuous improvement

  • People leadership experience, including engagement, coaching, and development

  • Demonstrated ability to lead benefits operations transformation through strategic projects with Technology, deploying intelligent automation and analytics (e.g., UiPath, Alteryx) to streamline processes, strengthen controls, and improve employee experience
