This role can be based in either Hong Kong or Singapore.

The Asia Head leads the end to end growth and solution strategy in addition delivery execution to ensure our Clients funds are available at the right time, in the right location and the right currency for corporates and non-bank financial institutions. This includes defining the right account architecture, location and the optimal automated funding and multi-currency solutions set to support both financial and commercial transactions. The role sets regional blueprints and commercialization plans, partners with Sales, Product and the Corporate Bank and scales adoption and revenue while protecting our leadership in liquidity and account management. The leader is adept at combining traditional and next generation capabilities (physical and notional pooling, virtual accounts, blockchain constructs) to meet client needs, expand market share and retain the bank’s leading position in Asia.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead regional LAS penetration and commercialization strategy, set growth objectives and deliver adoption, revenue growth, margin expansion, cross sell, and wallet share gains, in addition coordinate cross region and cross LOB plays (e.g., Trade, Merchant Services).
  • Lead an APAC specialist team, set coverage model and book of work, drive enablement programs to align with client buying and usage behavior and deliver balance and revenue plans by sector and country cluster, expand liquidity wallet share across regions. Partner with corporate bankers and payment sales to target opportunities.
  • Serve as senior sponsor on priority client and prospect engagements, shape global RFP responses and C suite pitches, tailor compliant account architectures for automated funding, cash extraction, payout and settlement flows across global markets.
  • Apply end to end liquidity and account structuring expertise and corporate regulatory know how (including third party money), influence product roadmap using voice of customer, data and digital trends.
  • Serve as APAC market expert on regulations and trends affecting funding automation, pooling, cash extraction, and settlements, embed strong risk and control behaviors, proactively identify, escalate and remediate issues, maintain clean audits and regulatory readiness by jurisdiction.
  • Elevate market presence through client and industry engagement (events, seminars, webinars, presentations), including on the ground initiatives monitoring competition, economy, regulation and client behavior and provide thought leadership to accelerate platform transformation.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related equivalent; advanced credentials a plus. Demonstrated experience in liquidity management and payment solutions with client facing product or sales leadership across Mid and Large Cap corporates in APAC (10+ years total; 5+ years leadership).
  • Deep structuring expertise and regulatory literacy, including third party money considerations and intercompany or merchant settlement flows; awareness of domestic and international tax and accounting implications from clients’ perspective.
  • Strong familiarity with market and industry trends and technological advancements (virtual accounts, blockchain, data driven solutions); ability to leverage these to inform innovation and commercialization impact in Asia.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management within large cross functional organizations; track record of setting strategy, building teams, and delivering against revenue and platform outcomes in complex, regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding and appreciation of the regulatory and control environment; proactive risk identification, escalation, and remediation to maintain audit readiness and regulatory compliance by market.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; ability to engage at C suite level and translate complex structures into clear, outcome oriented narratives and decisions; strong organizational and strategic skills; execution oriented, independent operator who delivers efficiently at regional scale.
