As an Investment Banking Analyst in the Taiwan Coverage team, you will develop strong relationships with corporate and financial institution clients and work across products. You will support transactions across the full spectrum of investment banking activities, including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt capital markets, divestitures, restructurings, and loans.
Job Responsibilities
- Support senior bankers in originating, structuring, and executing financing and advisory transactions across products.
- Prepare and develop pitch and execution materials to support client engagement and deal delivery.
- Build financial models and perform detailed valuation analyses for pitches and live transactions.
- Work with internal deal team members and client management teams to execute transactions, identifying and managing key risks.
- Coordinate with internal and external parties (e.g., legal counsel, accountants, counterparties) throughout the transaction process.
- Support client meetings, Q&A processes, due diligence, and management presentations/interviews.
- Conduct research on the Taiwan market, including industry trends, company outlook, and relevant regulatory and compliance considerations.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the team’s daily workflow by anticipating needs and coordinating across internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, or a related field from a top-tier educational institution.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, equity research, or other relevant roles within the finance sector.
- Strong accounting, finance, modeling, quantitative, and business writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Strong understanding of the transaction lifecycle; execution-oriented and detail-focused.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior professionals, clients, and stakeholders across lines of business.
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English.
