As a Privacy Program Director at JPMorganChase within the Firmwide Privacy Office, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing our global privacy program. You will drive strategy, execution, and continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with global regulations and supporting the firm’s data initiatives. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across business, technology, legal, and compliance to implement privacy strategies that align with our goals. Your leadership will help us embed privacy by design and deliver operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads and manages the firmwide Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) program, including the design, implementation, and oversight of processes to identify, assess, and mitigate privacy risks in new and existing initiatives.
  • Oversees the firmwide Individual Rights program, ensuring timely and effective response to data subject requests (e.g., access, deletion, correction, restriction, and portability) in accordance with global privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Leads and supports emerging projects to enhance the firm's privacy program.
  • Advises on privacy requirements for new business initiatives, products, and technologies, embedding privacy by design and default.
  • Develops and maintains governance documentation, including policies, procedures, and standards related to PIAs, Individual Rights and other key programs.
  • Conducts privacy risk assessments and maturity evaluations.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders across business, technology, legal, compliance, and controls to deliver complex privacy initiatives and support operational excellence.
  • Develops and deliver training and awareness programs on PIAs and Individual Rights.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Expert experience in privacy program design, implementation, and management within a large, complex organization.
  • Deep expertise in Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) and Individual Rights under global privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Proven ability to advise on privacy requirements for new initiatives and technologies.
  • Experience conducting data protection impact assessments and privacy risk evaluations.
  • Deep knowledge of global privacy laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage relationships across multiple functions and regions.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience in privacy or data protection at a financial institution or highly regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with the three lines of defense model for risk management.
  • Professional privacy certifications such as CIPP-E, CIPP-M, CIPP/US, or equivalent.
