The Global Corporate Banking (GCB) Client Engagement and Events team is dedicated to delivering world-class client events. As the event strategy senior associate, you will play a key role in supporting the event strategy across North America, bringing creative ideas, suggested venues and proposed content to the business with considerable thought to strategic execution.

As an Event Strategist Associate in the Global Corporate Banking Events Team, you will collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure the strategic positioning and flawless execution of events, deliver consistent and best-in-class relationship and business development opportunities for clients, and promote ultimate impact to bottom line revenue. You will provide support across the Global Corporate Banking Events Team, assisting the manager and colleagues with all work related to both in-person and virtual event responsibilities, including content development, speaker readiness, data tracking, client experience, execution, follow-up, and impact. You will also manage multiple event projects simultaneously, ranging from large events to intimate roundtable dinner discussions, encompassing both in-person and virtual experiences.

Job responsibilities:

  • Strategically plans and executes Global Corporate Banking events to further client engagement plans for highly targeted clients and prospects in key industries of focus.
  • Collaboratively assists in strategic event project management, partnering across teams in events, sponsorships, marketing, and communications to fulfill key tactics including project plan management, invitation and creative development, client selection, speaker idea generation, and reporting.
  • Thoughtfully develops and exhibits an understanding of unique industry business and tailors approach to each team accordingly.
  • Consistently stays current on industry trends and researches new content, speaker, and vendor opportunities.
  • Effectively partners with several different stakeholders across the firm to coordinate on cross line of business events.
  • Accurately supports data entry and management, leveraging our events management platform to track events, manage responses pre and post event, and analyze return on investment.
  • Proactively manages event email communications via our event management platform, including invitations, reminders, and post event communications.
  • Regularly tracks event performance and presents findings in a consistent cadence.
  • Reliably supports events with on-site assistance as needed.
  • Diligently maintains budgets and event calendar with strong emphasis on data management, list keeping, and operational efficiencies.
  • Seamlessly partners with Event Production for best-in-class execution and assists in various national and ad hoc projects and events to support prospect and client engagement in order to meet the needs of the business.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; experience in financial services.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in marketing and events.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint, with hands-on experience using various Customer Relationship Management tools.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities; ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability, professionalism, integrity, and judgment.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, self-motivated, and resourceful.
  • Excellent prioritization skills and ability to communicate clearly across a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work early morning and late evening events; travel required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
