As a Process Improvement I within the Home Lending team, you will analyze competitive intelligence from a variety of field sources. You will analyze competitive intelligence from a variety of field sources, collect and analyze data to identify trends, market/business potential, competitive forces, business strategies, customer preferences, etc. Integrates data from various sources to produce analyses and reports. Organizes the information into useable, actionable reports for distribution to the field and to management for use in strategic and operational decision-making. Assists in implementation of business strategies and provides analytical and/or reporting support focused on data collection and programming. Provides support to implementation of programs. Collaborate across Home Lending Customer Operations leadership team and LOB's to drive Analytics and Insights.
Job responsibilities
- Develop reporting solutions and analytics aligned to business needs by preparing data from diverse sources and leveraging available tools to deliver reports, data extracts, and analytical views.
- Utilize advanced knowledge and expertise across database platforms—Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, Hadoop, Oracle GOS, and other relational databases—to extract, load, and transform data for analytics and reporting.
- Demonstrate high proficiency with analytics and reporting technologies—including UNIX-SAS, Tableau, Alteryx, Python, R, Visual Studio Business Intelligence (SSRS, SSIS), Cognos, Power BI, and Microsoft Office—to execute data analysis and reporting responsibilities.
- Leverage expertise in data transformation tools—Alteryx, SSIS Packages, Trifacta, and similar solutions—to design and operate ETL processes supporting reporting solutions.
- Build efficient, robust, and secure data sources for MIS reporting by developing ETL processes that extract, transform, and load data from Oracle INFO1, flat files, Hadoop, Sybase, and other sources into target environments such as SQL Server, Greenplum, and related platforms.
- Design database structures by creating ERDs and implement the designs on target servers such as SQL Server and Greenplum.
- Lead and manage data analytics projects initiated by the business or for process improvement, reporting solutions, risk reduction, automation, and cross‑organizational processes and systems, applying strong technical skills and business understanding.
- Plan and develop project charters and work plans, allocate and manage resources, engage stakeholders, monitor progress, remove roadblocks, and ensure smooth execution and on‑time delivery.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in SQL (required)
- Experience in business analytics or reports development required
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Excellent communication and presentations skills across various stakeholders and senior management
- Intermediate/Advanced experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
- Excellent analytical and logical thinking to understand and analyze complex business processes
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, detail-oriented and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze and resolve project-related issues and follow through with set objectives
- Ability to deal with different stakeholder groups to elicit business requirements, procedures, and processes
- Ability to work in a high paced environment, be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
- Be a team player who shows commitment and dedication, and can maintain a positive attitude and high-level of performance on high-profile/time-sensitive initiatives
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in Tableau, Python, SAS, Alteryx, VBA, MS Access development (preferred)
- Experience in predictive analytics, data analytics, business intelligence development preferred
