Head of Investor Relations & Capital Formation

Moderne Ventures, a multi-stage, top tier venture fund, is seeking an exceptional Head of Investments & Capital Formation to contribute to the firm’s next phase of growth. This fundraising and investment relations leader will partner directly with the Founder and senior leadership to raise capital for Moderne’s funds and fuel our continued growth as a leading VC firm.

Head of Investor Relations & Capital Formation Responsibilities:

I. Fundraising Support‍

--Develop and maintain firmwide fundraising strategy and plan, tracking to quarterly milestones

--Collaborate with the Managing Partner to mobilize existing network, cultivate new relationships and garner new investments into Moderne’s Funds

--Attend fundraising-focused events to nurture existing relationships and form new partnerships with prospective investors

--Update existing fundraising collateral including presentations, one-pagers, DDQs, quarterly investor reports, press releases, and other bespoke materials as necessary and/or create new collateral as needed to effectively communicate with existing and prospective investors

II. Communications, Investor Relations and Administration

--Contribute to the development of investor communications, including capital calls, management reports, investor newsletters and webinars

--Help design and execute the Annual LP Meeting and other LP events throughout the year

--Maintain the investor database, logging updates in Moderne’s CRM platform including contacts, event and investor notes and call activities; track prospective investor opportunities across funds

--Maintain and update Moderne’s Data Room

--Work with the finance team, fund admin, investors and lawyers as needed to manage, track and execute offering docs and turn all investor-related requests in a timely manner

Qualifications and Qualities of an Ideal Candidate:

· ~8-15 years’ experience in Investor Relations or Marketing departments of alternative asset management or private equity firms

· Experience fundraising within Venture or PE, with a proven track record in raising capital

· Active network of institutional investors, pension funds, family offices and endowments

· Detail-oriented, with superior organizational, time and project management skills

· Strong academic credentials, work ethic and a genuine passion for excellence

· Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Word

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accurate and consistent reporting in all investor communications and across Moderne’s investor materials

· “No-task-is-too-small,” team-player attitude

· Self-starter, comfortable in a fast-paced, growing team environment

· Travel requirements expected to be 10-30% of time
