The Senior Associate, Pension Education & Learning Development works closely with Learning Consultants and internal stakeholders to design and deliver functional and business learning initiatives as well as manage the instructional design process for learning activities across OMERS. This includes conducting needs assessments and the design, development, delivery and evaluation of initiatives. Depending on the scope or complexity of the initiative, the Senior Associate will either work autonomously with business subject matter experts or in support of the Learning Consultants.
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
Instructional Design and Course Development: developing instructionally sound, interactive and engaging instructor-led courses, eLearning courses, job aids, manuals, and webinars based on learning objectives for functional and/or job specific requirements
Supporting Learning Consultants on applicable elements of role or function-based learning paths and program/curriculum design
Recommending appropriate learning approaches that align learning and development outputs with business strategy and priorities
Effectively using digital learning tools, eLearning authoring tools and Workday as an LMS
Keeping current with digital ways of working and learning trends
Evaluating and proposing the most appropriate and current learning methodologies and tools
When appropriate, facilitate in-class training sessions, webinars and conduct presentations while incorporating best in class instructional techniques
Lead all aspects of course logistics: materials, rooms, external contacts, chargebacks
Developing and implementing evaluation strategies for learning and development initiatives
Support with vendor selection, contracting and performance assessment
Maintain ongoing learning assets and tools
To succeed in this role, you:
Hold a University degree in a related field and 3+ years working experience in an area related to learning and development.
Have a track record of building credible relationships with HR and business colleagues and stakeholders through effective communication and reliable delivery
Have demonstrated strong project management skills in human resources related initiatives
Are able to manage time and workload to deliver on time sensitive engagements
Have experience working in a professional environment with diverse divisions and varied employee needs
Ideally have experience with a learning management system and digital learning tools and are willing to learn the platforms used at OMERS
Have a passion for learning and development

The expected salary range for this position is $72,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year.
You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award pursuant to our Short-term Incentive plan and our Long-Term Incentive plan (if applicable), and to participate in our group benefits and retirement plans – details on these elements of compensation are included within OMERS & Oxford offer letters.
