KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Global Deal Flow Management: Source, evaluate, and track potential investment opportunities from startups: pre-seed to Series A and participate in the process of closing.
- Geographical Focus: North America, assisting with UK, Ireland and Europe.
- Financial Analysis & Modeling: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, build complex financial models, and assess business strategies to inform investment decisions.
- Due Diligence: Lead and support due diligence processes, including market research, financial analysis, and competitor analysis to evaluate investment potential.
- Relationship Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with entrepreneurs, co-investors, and other key stakeholders in the venture capital ecosystem.
- Client-Facing Interaction: Collaborate with senior partners, investors, appropriate sector communities for deal sourcing, updates, and presentations. Play a key role in internal communication and external relationship management / business development opportunities.
- Portfolio Support: Monitor portfolio companies’ performance and provide strategic insights to support growth and value creation.
- Fund Expansion: Actively contribute to the development of future funds (second and third funds), including those backed by private family offices and institutional investors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 to 5 years of experience in venture capital, finance, investment banking or a related field.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with financial modeling, valuation, and data analysis, written reports.
- Proven track record of working with startups, ideally across sectors like consumer, music, entertainment, sports, real estate, and tech.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to clients and internal teams.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to thrive in a client-facing role and develop relationships with key stakeholders in the investment ecosystem.
- Comfortable working long hours during busy periods, and adaptable to a flexible and dynamic work environment.
- A passion for the startup world and an eagerness to learn and grow within a leading venture capital brand incubation firm.
