What You’ll be Doing

As a Founders Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and collaborating with visionary founders to drive their success. There are multiple positions in our portfolio open, both on a part time and temporary basis, and in some cases with the potential to convert to a more permanent role. In all cases, you will work directly with the founding team on key strategic priorities. The role is ideally suited to those looking to build a network in the venture and startup ecosystem, and to looking to pivot from a role in consulting, finance, or operations. These roles are also well-suited to current or recent students working on a masters or continuing education course looking to work flexibly while exploring career opportunities.

While each role is slightly different, some example key responsibilities could include:

1. Supporting the CEO/Founder to iterate on fundraising material in preparation for an upcoming fundraising round, streamlining relevant workstreams.
2. Coordinating and managing special or strategic projects, ensuring timely and successful execution of key initiatives.
3. Assisting founders on the development and refinement of business strategies and business plans, acting as a sparring partner.

What We’re Looking For

Companies often over specify what they are looking for, we encourage you to apply if you do not fulfill all the requirements below. A keen interest in the start up ecosystem and the ability to pick things up quickly is the only minimum requirement. You would be a particularly strong candidate for this role if you have the following:

• Strong command of Excel/Google Sheets (Analytics and Financial modeling) as well as PowerPoint / Google Slides (Deck preparation)
• Bachelor’s degree in business, entrepreneurship, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
• Proven experience in a startup environment or relevant industry.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with venture capital, fundraising, and startup operations is advantageous.
• Experience in consulting or finance is advantageous.
