Visiting Associate
Revent
About Revent:
Revent is an early-stage venture firm backing Europe’s most talented founders building companies that truly matter. We focus on the founders who don’t just want to build a unicorn - they want to leave a legacy, to improve our collective future. We’ve recently closed a fresh €100M fund to be the first-check investor in some 35 companies, all pushing the boundaries in AI, software, and frontier tech to solve real problems and create significant value.
About You:
We’re hiring a Visiting Associate (minimum 4 month commitment) with the goal of this turning into a full time position. For that to happen, we will need to have selected the right person, and you will need to have shown us that you’re a star. We think both of these things are very achievable, but require you to have certain attributes:
- Deep love for the sport – you follow tech trends, funding rounds, and industry gossip as your core hobby. You check tech news first thing in the morning and as your bedtime read. You genuinely care about what’s happening in the startup world, especially in Europe, and have ideas about what future trends are coming.
- An immense desire to win – venture is competitive, we are looking for people who love to compete. You’re someone who loves a good challenge and really loves winning.
- A passion to create a better world – Revent invests in companies that can become massive by virtue of solving real problems for humanity. This means we invest in topics like the energy transition, health, access to financial opportunity, etc. We’re a mission-driven team and only want to work with people who share our view that tech can be a driver for positive change and that this focus can deliver outsized financial returns.
- Excellence. We are constantly striving to get better and look for people who share this dedication to doing things extremely well and to constantly improving.
- A builder’s spirit. We see ourselves as a startup too – very early in our journey with some early wins and yet still so much to build and prove. We look for people who are genuinely excited to roll up their sleeves and co-create this firm together with us.
Chances are you have some solid starter work experience (1-4 years), ideally at a fast-paced, performance-oriented organization. And chances are that you are somehow already a part of the tech world, e.g. as a founder, operator, investor, or just a crazy tech enthusiast.
About the Role:
This is a “full stack” associate role – that means you’ll see and do all parts of the associate job and experience all the highs, lows, victories and grind associated with it. Some of your core areas of focus will be:
- Sourcing the next few Revent investments. This means using a combination of network (which you’ll bring and build), AI / tech tools (which you’ll use and possibly build), and research to find outlier pre-seed companies in our space.
- Working on and winning opportunities. This means working closely with one of the partners or GPs to assess companies (think: market sizing, competitor analysis, reference calls) and then doing what it takes to win deals.
- Supporting the portfolio. Think: finding and connecting founders to useful operators, talent, investors, etc; working with our Head of Community to bring the right people together; being the ‘magic dust’ in the background.
- Building at Revent. As mentioned, we’re a startup and are very much in ‘build’ mode. From supporting on some of our key community events to finding ways to make our internal operations more effective, you’ll help us improve.
To be clear, we’re a small team and everyone is expected to be an ‘all-around’ contributor. That means that yes, just like the GPs, you will also be asked to unload the dishwasher at times and to make the restaurant reservation yourself. We look for people who are low ego and unafraid of this less glamorous part of an otherwise extremely fun job.
Practicalities:
- We would love to onboard someone ASAP, latest by January 2026.
- We’d like you to be available full-time for at least 4, ideally 6 months. As mentioned, our goal is that this turns into a full-time position. Your performance will be the key variable.
- The role is based in Berlin. That means you must already have the right to work full-time in Berlin and are able to be in person full-time by January.
- We will pay you like an Associate - 65k Euro / year plus a performance-based bonus.
How to Apply:
Please fill out this short form and attach a max 3 minute Loom video introducing yourself and telling us about 2 startups in our space you love that have raised less than 3M € and that you think we absolutely should look at / invest in and why. We’ll keep this process open until we’ve found the right person but obviously there is an advantage for applying earlier.
