The team you’ll join
StepStone Private Wealth (“SPW”) is a prominent investment firm that manages nearly $12 billion in assets, as of September 2025, invested in retail closed-ended evergreen funds existing across the US, Europe, Australia and the Cayman Islands. SPW invests through direct, co-investment, primary and secondary investment strategies. With a team of over 90 employees, the firm has offices in Winter Park, Charlotte, Luxembourg, La Jolla, and New York. StepStone Private Wealth actively invests in private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, and private credit investments.
About the role
StepStone is looking for highly motivated undergraduate students to join our StepStone Private Wealth team as Summer Analysts. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the alternative assets industry. Summer Analysts will gain exposure to fund accounting, regulatory reporting and investment valuation and oversight across US and international retail evergreen funds. Through this experience, Summer Analysts will develop an understanding of alternative assets investment options available to retail investors globally.
What you’ll do
Summer Analysts will be responsible for supporting the activities of the investment operations and fund accounting teams in analyzing, monitoring, and reporting on both potential and existing fund and direct investments. Education is also a significant component of the program, as Summer Analysts will gain insight into the broader financial, operational and data-driven aspects of StepStone Private Wealth.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct and summarize diligence on valuation practices of general partners and lead sponsors
- Data gathering, review and analysis of annual audited financial statements
- Assist with implementation of AI tools and Alteryx
- Produce monthly NAV summaries across all funds
- Assist with monthly investment regulatory filings
- Organize and update KPIs
- Establish and document process and procedures
- Assist with implementation of proprietary workflow tool
- Assist with development of Power BI dashboards
- Assist with annual prospectus updates
What we’re looking for
- Must be able to work legally in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Undergraduate student graduating anywhere from December 2026 through June 2027
- GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrable analytical capabilities, including strong quantitative/analytical skills
- Collaborative mindset with a proactive and team-oriented approach
