Overview:
The Property Development team at Triple Point provides development lending to a range of UK based housebuilders and developers. Loan sizes are typically between £1m-£20m and focused in the residential housebuilding market. While our team is mainly London-based, we welcome applicants based across the UK.
The Role
- Lead and deliver best practice origination strategies for the team, transacting with existing and new borrowers.
- Engage with the broker and borrower market ensuring consistency of deal flow and execution.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in Credit, Operations, Finance, Private Credit Management and Risk.
- Actively support and contribute to wider strategic initiatives involving Triple Point’s property sector exposures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Leadership: Lead and execute the origination strategy to drive business growth and achieve financial targets.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging existing networks and building new relationships within the property sector.
- Team Development: Work closely with the Head of Origination to build out, lead, mentor, and inspire the origination team to achieve high performance and foster a culture of excellence.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other key stakeholders to ensure a steady pipeline of opportunities.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
- Deal Structuring: Oversee the structuring of complex finance deals, ensuring they meet both client needs and company risk criteria.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the underwriting and legal teams to ensure seamless deal execution and high levels of client satisfaction.
- Reporting: Contribute to regular reports to senior management on origination activities, pipeline status, and market insights.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years+ of experience in property development finance
- Proven track record of success in origination and business development within the property finance sector.
- Extensive network of contacts within the property market, including developers, investors, and brokers.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market dynamics and regulatory environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
