San Francisco, CA, USA

A rapidly growing private equity firm in San Francisco is hiring a Senior Finance & Operations Associate to join its lean, high-performing team. With over $4B AUM raised in just 5 years, the firm is backed by leadership from top-tier platforms such as TPG, Ares, KKR, and Carlyle—and is already preparing for it's next fund raise.

This is a high-impact, generalist role that blends fund finance, operations, investor relations, ESG and strategic initiatives. The firm is still in its high-growth phase, offering a rare opportunity to join early and grow into a leadership seat over time.

What You’ll Do:

This is a broad role designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. The initial breakdown includes:

  • 50% Finance Operations – Support capital activity, cash forecasting, liquidity management, treasury, and internal reporting
  • 30% Fund & Management Company Accounting – Shadow fund admin, assist with closes, prepare journal entries, and support tax/K-1s
  • 20% Strategic Ops & Projects – Collaborate with IR and ESG teams, support fund launches, and improve internal processes

What They’re Looking For:

  • 3–6 years of experience in accounting, operations, or investment firm environments
  • Experience at a PE/VC firm or fund admin is required (Real Estate & Credit Backgrounds also considered)
  • Sharp, proactive, and adaptable—someone who thrives wearing multiple hats
  • Strong Excel Skills

Why This Role Stands Out:

  • Start as a generalist, build your own niche over time (IR, ESG, fund ops, etc.)
  • Close-knit team with mentorship from CFO and Controller
  • Unlimited growth potential within a fast-scaling fund
  • Competitive comp: $140-180k all-in cash compensation + fantastic benefits and perks
  • Hybrid schedule in SF
  • Collaborative, low-ego, and entrepreneurial team culture
